About Me

A second look

Alex&er Laszlo – researcher, professor, martial artist, punster.  I’m interested in how to human better, both individually and collectively.  Expressions of Ubuntu and empathy fascinate me so I study them at the nexus of holistic being, transcendent consciousness, and curated emergence.

My action-research projects include the embodied aspects of science and spirituality as a living field of consciousness; empathy-based education; the relationship between sustainability and thrivability; systemic innovation for planetary flourishing; and syntony as an organizing force in societal evolution.

My big goal

My big goal is to engage in educational and community-building activities that curate nurturance spaces for actions at systemic leverage points that help emerge a global eco-civilization.  In other words, to create the scaffolding, greenhouses, support structures and processes needed for evolutionary learning ecosystems to form and thrive.

I design evolutionary learning communities.  I designed and ran an international educational non-profit called Syntony Quest for 16 years, and was the founding director of a nationally accredited doctoral program in Leadership and Systemic Innovation.  Right now I am project lead on the Evolutionary Learning Ecosystem program that of the Vivir Agradecido foundation in Argentina.

I also serve as President of the Board of Directors of the Bertalanffy Center for the Study of Systems Science (BCSSS), Senior Advisor to the Laszlo Institute of New Paradigm Research (L-INPR), and Scientific Director at EARTHwise Centre.
