Develop Social Weaving Strategy

Caveat: I tried to post this as proposal but it didn’t work so I’m posting here:

Social weaving is critical for scaling Crowdpol to have the impact we wish it to have. To do this, an explicit strategy of how to socially weave together millions of change actors is required.

It’s all related to what Daisy said last night about an “embodied social network”. Crowdpol must distinguish itself as a place that feels like a home for humanity. It is not transactional, but can support our livelihoods. Rather, it is sacred and must be designed to automatically generate a feeling of authentic community and belonging. This requires a mind/heart shift from ME to WE..inverting the M as we have put it in the Stop Reset Go framing. Facilitating authentic empathy is critical. Seeing OTHERS as a REFLECTION of ourself is a perspective we must help inculcate

A direct result of this is that economically, Crowdpol need to develop a POSITIVE SUM (ECONOMIC) GAME so that every member personally experiences a community that is looking out for each member’s economic interest and livelihood. This will be key, as each actor who would consider “joining” crowdpol considers their own vested interest in their project and how Crowdpol will help them not only survive, but THRIVE. Naturally, blockchain can be enlisted to help us construct the positive sum game, but what’s missing is a tool to allow people to socially weave together. There must be tools that efficiently help to identify idling resources and leverage points within the network and then facilitate individuals to join together to unleash those resources. Millions of projects aspire to system change, but if none of them have these system tools to accomplish that, it won’t happen.

At the heart of all of this is treating every single living being as sacred. That is what, at the root level, bring about the deepest resonance. For myself, I need to feel that engaging in Crowdpol feels as if I am engaging in a sacred activity. That is what I would like to feel, and also what I would like others to feel as well.

Finally, there is an opportunity right now to trigger a social tipping point, brought on by the covid-19 pandemic. Soon, in a matter of months, tens or hundreds of millions of people may be forced into precarity due to global economic collapse. There is a need for a platform tool that can perform cross-scale sense-making and use that data to socially weave together change actors all over the globe to recreate local, resilient, regenerative economies. Food, water and shelter must all be solved for this to happen, on a massive scale. Shelter requires deep collective thinking as it is entrenched in the old competitive framework that only benefits a minority of rent owners.

Thanks Gien… this week I realized that many really smart people (like brain surgeons or rocket scientists) may not be deep thinkers and broad-minded. They can be brilliant in their narrow thinking and emotionally shallow. So they may not think about future generations, sustainability, alternative economics, sacredness of planet Earth, etc.

I also see that I have a hard time coming up with solutions to difficult issues like housing as you mentioned. That is why I created the Earth Solutions Project, to use crowd research https://sanfordhinden.com/earth-solutions-project

Recently, Alexander Laszlo, Meg Rivers of Bloom Network, and I have been discussing getting AI to help us solve problems for Earth and humanity. What I am getting at is we need to expand our brain power and creative problem-solving. Dynamic Facilitation can also help unleash the thinking power of a group.

I am happy to be part of this creative brain power discussion.

Hi Gien… I had a Zoom meeting with Tim and he mentioned Liminal Village. It looks great. I am so happy Roberto @rvalenti is devoting his life, and AI understanding, to Earth and humanity. Yesterday, I saw a headline on AI killer machines soon to be on the battlefield. OMG. Recently Alexander Laszlo, Meg Rivers of Bloom Network and I came to the realization that we could use AI help in our collaborative work for Earth and humanity. We have now formed small group called the Conscious Evolution Roundtable. We meet on Zoom every few weeks to explore how we can help each other, while staying in balance within — Mindful Collaboration. I am enjoying our meaningful communication here. I just sent Roberto a request for connection on his page. Thank you!

Found where to create groups…

In the past, I would create groups on Facebook and people did not participate… creating groups didn’t produce anything…

For me it depends on trust. Over the 40 years I have been engaged in communities, I had numerous experiences with people who were inauthentic. So, I learned that it takes time to see if someone is authentic and trustworthy. And “time takes time” as they say. So, I can be impulsive, foolishly idealistic and have naïve faith in people, or patiently allow them to show who they really are over time. While I feel the urgency to help Earth & humanity, I tell myself to slow down to really understand people. Transcending the “me” to become “we” will take time. This is helpful… http://atlc.org/members/resources/four_stages_community.html

I create simple diagrams… have hundreds of PowerPoints… recently Meg Rivers of Bloom Network asked to update/recreate my images in her practice of Adobe suite she is learning. I sent her a PowerPoint with my best and most recent concepts.

If you like, send me your email and I will send them to you. You are a brilliant person with a powerful interest in learning.

It would be amazing if there was an advanced graphics software to help construct diagrams. Here are some, but they might be too simplistic for your ideas… https://www.capterra.com/diagram-software/
